The safety of our patients is our first priority. We have been closely following the changing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to protect you, as our patient, as well as to keep them informed as things change and progress.
You are likely already aware that visiting a healthcare facility can increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. We would like to remind you of some conditions that may put you at a higher risk. Our patients
- with asthma
- who might be pregnant
- with chronic lung disease
- that have some heart issues
- with chronic kidney disease
- those who are extremely obese
- have been diagnosed with liver disease
- are over 65
are all at an increased risk of complications from COVID-19.
As part of our dedication to your well-being, we have implemented several new procedures in our Care Centers. We have screened each of our employees. As far as we are aware, none of our employees have been exposed to, treated for, or demonstrated symptoms or signs of, COVID-19. Should any of the employees find that they have potential exposure to COVID-19, we have instituted a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Each day we will continue to screen all employees for signs, or symptoms of COVID-19. For your health and safety, we will also be screening all patients prior to entry to a Care Center. Entrance will be limited to patients only, unless special circumstances apply, and have already been outlined in our COVID-19 Policy.
We will be providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our patients to be used at all times in our Care Center. We are strictly adhering to recommended hygiene and sanitizing protocols. We ask that if you have witnessed one of our staff, or another patient, failing to follow the Care Center Policy, that you notify a supervisor immediately.
According to the Guide to Resumption of Elective Procedures in Florida, elective procedures may resume statewide, on Monday, May 4th. Executive Order 20-112 will be in effect and will maintain limitations of the movements of persons, except for those businesses and services that are currently open, and those businesses that can re-open at 25% occupancy. We want to ensure that you are aware that you can seek treatment for non-COVID-19 related health concerns. Medical services, including elective procedures, are fully available to you.
We will continue to be here for our patients in this trying time, and we will continue to make your health and safety our number one priority.
